Amen Brother! I hope recruits and parents don't read message boards! There are sure some Dumb Asses on there who don't know their ass from their elbow! True idiots! It really chaps my ass too to read some of the stuff those idiots say in general much less about kids who we are trying to get to come to our school and help our program. Regardless of the two commits who are in question, I'm stoked for the 2010 class to put ink to paper and get in school! No matter where kids go it's ultimately their decision, and it comes down to how they feel their going to learn, grow, play, and thrive in that environment. If a kid feels like he can do better somewhere than so be it...but like you say, let them make that decision. Don't help them make that decision. If they do actually read the message boards lets try to be welcoming and supportive, not rude and spiteful. I'm ready for some football! Let's get it on! But first let's get after their asses on the hard court and diamond! Go Dawgs!
I actually agreed with 95% of your message as I certainly agree that people shouldn't bash these kids. The part that I didn't agree with is bashing them on Feb. 4. If they decide to attend a university other than UGA, so be it - that doesn't make them nasty, evil people. Unfortunately, these kids are required to grow up very quickly and make a fairly major decision that can impact the rest of their life at a very early age. How many of us were prepared to make such a decision at age 17? I certainly wasn't, and I doubt many people were. Anyway, I don't want to get on my soap box, but I hear UGA fans say how proud they are of the character and integrity of our coach. However, they then act juvenile and classless with these posts on internet sites and the way many of our fans behave after big games that we've won. Perhaps many of our them to take a lesson from our coach and learn how to represent themselves and our university in a classy manner. Thanks for the video and great message. Go Dawgs - GATA!!
