Figured that a flashback was in order since the last time the Dawgs played in NOLA, I was still a Redcoat.

Here's the highlights....

Hope you enjoyed that. It's nice to look back and have some fond memories. Let's make some new ones on Jan. 1, OK?

Until next time kids.

We're on the cusp of beginning "Hate Week 2007 Part II" and teh internetz are "buzzing" with opportunities to take shots at Jackets any which way possible.

Most of you guys that check out the site have been coming on throughout the course of this year, so you missed this post that riled up one Tech fan in particular. Her name is N@talie H@ll and after the "altercation" on the site, we kept up with one another through Facebook to talk sh*t back and forth whenever possible. All in all, she's a nice girl; even for a Tech student.

Anyway, getting back to the title. You see, Facebook is absolutely amazing. I'm no where near addicted like some people, but every now and then you find a diamond in the rough. Imagine my surprise when I found out that The Dawg-gone Blog's favorite mortal enemy was actually on "Celebrity Fit Club" boxing Bizarre from rap group D-12.

"Bring it on, Nerd."

"Eat sh*t Biz. Do you carry Eminem's bags for him on tour?"

Our little N@talie held up well and actually kicked his ass from the tale of the tape. Apparently, "The Ninja" has a quick jab and moves briskly around the ring. You can see for yourself here.

So, as we kick off Hate Week 2007 Part II, remember that there is one Tech student out there that might be able to kick our asses after this is all said and done.

UK thoughts later and then the real fun begins.

Until next time kids.

Be safe.

Every Tuesday, there will be a new installment of "The List." Think of it kind of like Doug's "Random Ten +5" but different. The inspiration comes from my tendency to rank things unnecessarily and figured it'd be a nice addition to the blog. Let me know if you like it/hate it in the comments section. Oh, and these posts will probably be laced with profanity because it's my chance every week to rant...and I have a filthy mouth.

Top 10 Coaches I'd like to kick in the nuts:

10. Houston Nutt -- Seriously, with a name like that, he just deserves it. It doesn't sound like he should be running a football team, but instead be a type-cast porn star whose money shot line is "Everything's bigger in Texas, baby." Add on the fact that I think he's one of the most overrated coaches in College Football and he's a shoe-in (pun intended).

"Is that how you like it? Everything's bigger in Texas, baby."

9. Steve Spurrier -- I know most of you probably expected this one to be higher, but I can't hate the Ol' Ball Coach as much as I used to. The truth is he's probably a blast to hang out with away from the game, and would whip your ass in golf. The only reason he gets the nod is because of all the years at Florida, the shit he's talked about UGA, and the fact that he hung 50+ on us in our house. A kick in the nuts is deserved, but not a totally swift one. Does anyone really believe he's into coaching at USC or is he just enjoying a free membership to Augusta National? And let's not even start on how funny some of the other shit he's said has been.

Seriously, some of this shit writes itself.

8. Chuck Amato -- How did this guy ever get a head coaching job? It's seriously one of the biggest mind-boggling things I've ever seen. He looks goofy as well, wore those shades non-stop, and I swear couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag. He took a great talent in Phillip Rivers and found a way to let him slip right through his eligibility. And then there's this picture:

"What? You want to kick me in the balls? WHY??!!??"

7. Urban Meyer -- Yeah the guy coaches Florida. But there are two blatant things that I just can't get past, whether he's the Gator coach or not. 1) The fact that everyone talks about his offense when Charlie Strong won the National Championship last year. 2) That he wore that damn ugly leather jacket after the Nat'l Championship game was over. Who told him that was a good idea? Did he have an audition for "Grease" or something?

"Why, this car is Auto-matic. Its System-matic. Its Hyyyyydro-matic. Why, its Greased Lightning!"

6. Phillip Fulmer -- Aside from the nicknames of "The Great Pumpkin" and all that jazz, what really pisses me off about this guy is how he runs what I feel is a dirty UT program. While UGA is consistently getting blasted in the media, UT players commit crimes left and right only to serve a one-game suspension (usually in a game that has no implications whatsoever). There is a reason why EDSBS named the award given to the dirtiest program every year the "Fulmer Cup." My prediction: This guy will be on one of the hottest seats in the country by the end of the year and he deserves it.

Gets hot under those man boobs, huh?

5. Dennis Franchione -- This one's the easiest of the bunch. He told the Alabama players that were facing some tough years due to NCAA violations that he "needed them to stick with Alabama," and then he bolted for the Texas A&M job because it was "his dream job." Since then he's sucked it up every year and deservedly so. He's an asshat if there ever was one.

What did you say? Couldn't understand you over all the bitch ass crying.

4. Pete Carroll -- Recruiting at USC is like recruiting at Miami. You're going to one of the most beautiful places on the planet as an 18 year-old all while being surrounded by some of the most gorgeous women you've ever seen. That's a layup in college football no matter who coaches there. Let's not forget that Pete Carroll has failed everywhere he's gone until he got to USC, and even though I hate Les Miles (who's coming up shortly on this list), he nailed it when he said the Pac-10 is a weaker conference than the SEC. I can't wait for the day USC loses Pete Carroll and then he goes somewhere else and sucks again.

3. Les Miles -- This guy is a blemish on the SEC. I couldn't smoke enough peyote to make me think that LSU fans really love him, and I can't wait for the Saturday this year when he goes out of his way to create a loss in a gift-wrapped win. Trust me, it will happen. Stir in the fact that he runs his mouth at times he shouldn't, put it in the bowl of cupcakes that LSU constantly feeds upon, and bake at a temperature of "WTF?" and you've got a delicious dish of "he won't be here past 2009."

I want "YOU" to come to LSU and underachieve.

2. Tommy Tuberville -- There is no other coach on this planet in any sport that whines more than this guy. He does it non-stop. Much like Urban Meyer, the success he enjoys is mainly due to his assistant coaches because before Al Borgess showed up and taught him how to utilize two phenomenal RBs, Tubberville was Auburn's version of Jim Donnan. He looks like the politician who will admit no wrongdoing, or the CEO that dipped into your pension to make himself richer than he should be. Oh, and academics? Don't even ask under this guy's watch.

Image from EDSBS.

1. Nick Saban -- Anyone surprised? Anyone? Seriously, was there ever a doubt? Let's be honest. He's a good coach. He really is. But, he's the kind of coach no one respects. Nobody likes him. I don't even think Alabama fans like him as much as they say they do. They know he'll get them wins, but none of them think he's the coach of the future. He'll stay as long as he can to maximize the potential of the program and then leave to get a larger payday. My guess is that if he isn't happy in two years and he can go to a program where he can win immediately, he's gone. Add on all the "I don't have time for this shit" and "Richt, I saw your players downtown in Athens the other night" comments and this guy deserves my Nike Swoosh imprinted on his scrotum more than anyone else.

"God Complex? How can I have a complex about myself?"

Honorable Mentions:

Lloyd Carr -- App. State deserved to be congratulated on their win, and I never saw him do that. That should've been the FIRST thing out of his mouth on every interview. However, even though he's always sucked, he' so old that I'd feel like I was kicking a man right before he enjoyed his apple sauce. You just can't beat up old people nowadays.

Chan Gailey -- Look, I hate Georgia Tech, but I don't hate this guy. Kicking him in the nuts would be the equivalent of beating up a special ed kid. Reggie Ball for 4 years? The guy's suffered enough.

So there's the first installment of The List. Like/Hate? Let me know.

Until next time kids.

Be safe.

Saturday, August 25, 2007
Well, ok. So you want a Vegas post? I guess I'll just write it then.

WARNING: THIS IS AN EXTREMELY LONG POST.

On August 8th, 2007 I took a much needed break from the "real world" to relax, lose a ton of money, see some old ("new") friends, hang out with Beer Blog Pong This (hereby known as Ru$$) and Stacy G., and drink a whole bunch of free liquor. Here's what happened.

August 8:

Worked all day long and then had a friend take me to the Atlanta airport. I checked in fairly quickly and barely made the standby cutoff to hop on a plane bound for the land of lights. It should be noted that I don't like to fly, and I didn't have time to tie on a good buzz before take off. However, the plane got in the air and I got quasi-comfortable with my surroundings (but didn't sleep a wink).

I landed in a blisteringly hot Las Vegas at 20:45 PST meaning it was already past my bedtime and I was exhausted. I met Stacy G. in the hotel lobby of the Excalibur where we were staying (see: "cheap and with a food court"). A quick trip to the Pizza hut Express followed by dropping $40 in blackjack and I was ready for some sleep.

August 9:

I met Ru$$ at the Sherwood Cafe as he was finishing his meal and then caught up some about his previous activities in The Vegas. He took a much needed nap while I went to go visit The Luxor and buy a present for my 15 year old female cousin, who thinks Criss Angel is the best thing ever. She got a book.

Pictures for proof:

Criss Angel's necklace that confirms "Rock Star" iclonic status.

Criss Angel's first chopper.

Criss Angel's second chopper.

After The Luxor trip it was time to head back to the hotel, eat some lunch, and do some gambling. I played a little video poker, Let it Ride, and Blackjack. $100 was lost, but I was ok with that.

Ru$$ woke up and we formulated a gameplan. He had passes to Moon, Rain (even though Rain was closed), and GhostBar over at The Palms and we were going to do the "Vegas Club Scene." I said "let's do it" and we figured we'd start drinking around 17:00 PST and just see where the night took us.

We headed down to Dick's Last Resort to cash in those "buy one get one" free beers that were presented to us at check in. We watched Warner Robins make the leap into the Little League World Series, talked some politics, and decided it was dinner time.

Sir Gallahad's Prime Rib Eatery Place (not the real name) was the choice for the night. Aside from the incredibly cheesy name of Sir Gallahad's, it was GREAT prime rib. I'm sure there is better to be found in Vegas, but for the modest price, it was a very good cut and flavor of meat. I truly enjoyed it. We stepped outside the restaurant and heard this piece of music lust:

I hope you thoroughly enjoyed that and are supremely jealous, Song Writer.

After eating, the decision was made to get ready and be prepared to go out to the clubs at 22:00 PST. We changed clothes (I did twice because jeans were not a good choice) and took a taxi to The Palms. We decided to hit the Playboy Club first, then bounce over to GhostBar for the view, and finish up at Moon.

Let me start off by saying The Palms is a fantastic hotel. I was very impressed with its simplistic layout, the fact that it's not completely on the strip, and the amount of young people there. It screams "I'm laid back, but young and want to party," which is exactly the way I felt for my vacaction. It's definitely on my "must stay at this hotel" list. So after arriving at The Palms, we went to the Playboy Club. Again, I was VERY impressed by the classiness of the place and the staff (security as well as bartenders) was second to none. Very friendly and very professional.

Pictures for proof:

The entrance to Moon and The Playboy Club.

The Liquor Shelves at the Playboy Club.

After walking around the Playboy Club, we went back downstairs to finish our drinks and go to GhostBar. We played a quick game of Pai Gow Poker (so I could learn) and then caught the elevator to GhostBar for the view. I liked the layout of the place (it was a little too "blue" inside for me lighting wise), but I don't know if anyone goes there for anything but the view out on the balcony. Here's what I'm talking about.

Pictures for proof:

This is a picture of the Rio and the south end of the strip.

*The north end picture turned out pretty bad*

This is the Palms Fantasy Tower. The very top is Moon and just below that is the aforementioned Playboy Club. If you look closely below the "Palms" sign on the front of the tower, you can see the Playboy suites with the pools that go out into the open air. Very cool.

So we left Ghost Bar and headed over to Moon. I was blown away by the club experience there even though I'm not a club person. If I were to be a guy looking to get laid on this trip, this is the place I'd go. It was too dark for pictures inside, but trust me, the place is insane. Everyone was dancing and partying. It was like nothing I'd seen before.

August 10:

We left The Palms around 01:00 and thankfully arrived back at the Excalibur with our lives intact. The cab driver we got was named Steve and he was from Israel...and he damn near killed us 50 times. The dude was out of his mind insane and was zipping in and out of traffic. Thank God I had a buzz at this point.

Once inside the Excalibur, we hit up some Let it Ride and I learned to play Craps. Craps is a very fun game, but you can either win a lot of money or lose a ton of money. I ended up doing both, so I pretty much broke even.

Flash forward to 09:00 PST and I'm hammered and playing Pai Gow Poker while trying desperately to get sober. Ru$$ has wisely gone to bed but I've drank for over 14 hours straight and I need a break. Finally, I take one, go to McDonalds to get some Hotcakes and Sausage, and go to bed.

When I woke up 3 hours later I was too hungover to do anything. I was paying the price for what I'd done. I watched some TV, ate some lunch, blah blah blah and then got ready to go to the Hard Rock Hotel so me and Ru$$ could meet up with Chris H., Aaron, and Mel S. The idea was to hang out, catch up, and watch their new 48 hr. Film Project piece called "9:1." I got to Hard Rock and realized this was probably going to be a short night for me. As soon as we sat down at The Pink Taco, I was told by everyone around me to just take the night off and that they understood.

Picture for proof:

NOT PICTURED: The Delta "puke bag" in my back pocket because I didn't trust myself to make it to the bathroom in time.

So, after leaving the Hard Rock, I went back to the hotel and slept...12 hours.

August 11:

What would seemingly be my last day in Vegas was reserved for sightseeing and other "touristy" type stuff. Ru$$ and I hit the Vegas Outlet Mall and didn't buy anything, and then headed over to the shops at The Venetian.

Two things: 1) I say "outside shops," but they're actually inside. 2) I recorded this for my roomate, Jeb.

I also ran into two famous people:

Being a ladies man myself, I had to get a picture of Jimmy Choo. Adored by women across the world.

Resident site girl Keira Knightley was proud of my choice to hang out at The Venetian.

We walked around, again didn't buy anything, checked out the "Blue Man Group" theatre, and then headed back to the hotel. Being the last night in Vegas, we were going to pack up the hotel room, get ready for the evening, hit the buffet, catch the Bellagio Water Show, and gamble some before bedtime.

After all the packing, eating, blah blah blah stuff was done, we saw this:

For the record, we played it better. PLEASE pay attention to the bassist in the background. That comedy writes itself....and it sounds like I have a lisp, but I don't.

Then, we caught a cab ride to here:

and saw this:

Unfortunately, I still haven't been able to catch the water show when it plays "Claire De Lune" famously known from "Ocean's 11." One day I'm just going to camp out and wait.

We headed back to the Excalibur and I feel in love with the Monopoly slot machine (and I hate slots), then went to bed.

The next morning I woke up, was F*CKING EXHAUSTED, and took this picture for proof:

DAMN...

After getting bumped from the first flight, I caught the 13:00 PST one, FINALLY slept on a plane, and landed safely in Atlanta around 19:30 EST. The one problem? Delta said they had my bag in custody since I flew on a buddy pass and that I needed to go to this shithole to get it:

Please note the people you see sitting down watching television at the end includes the lady WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO HELP ME FIND MY BAG. Was I frustrated? YES. Could I do anything about it? NO.

F*ck Delta.

Anyway, so there's my extremely long Vegas post. I hope you enjoyed it. I'll be back in a few days with some new stuff and expect the first installment of "The List" on Thursday.

Until next time kids.

Be safe (and f*ck Delta).

P.S. -- Special thanks to Ally who kept reminding me that planes don't crash that often.

Auburn 2002 – This game was 20 years in the making. Plenty of years prior, the Dawgs had teams that were capable of winning an SEC Championship, but none that had. After a heartbreaking loss to Heisman Candidate Rex Grossman and the Florida Gators in Ron Zook’s first year, the Dawgs had played themselves into a must-win situation. Florida held the tie-breaker in the three-way dance between the Dawgs, Gators, and Vols for the SEC East crown and a ticket to Atlanta for the Championship game.

The "must-win" game on the horizon was against Auburn, who the previous year had stole one from us after Mark Richt made his first mistake as the Bulldog head coach. With only about 13 seconds left and sitting around the 2 yard line, he called Jasper Sanks up the middle with no timeouts left. Jasper was stopped at the one, the clock expired, and we died on the field.

Richt practicing his "It's Bobo's fault" pose.

However, in 2002, we had nothing but business on our minds and the only thing standing in our way was a very good Auburn team. The game was a battle and Auburn seemed to have the upper hand getting towards the end. To say the Dawgs were painted in a corner would be an understatement as Jason Campbell had been scrambling and throwing us into exhaustion.

Thankfully, a late 4th quarter stop and a subsequent "all heart" punt return by Sean Jones put us in a position where even though we were in 4 down territory, we were across the 50 and that was a big help. David Greene brought us down the field in UT 2001 fashion, but we stalled just inside the 20. Three plays later and we’re looking at one last shot for the endzone.

The “Money Shot Memory" for this begins in the stands. The Redcoats were down and the mood was as ominous as it could get. We didn’t want to play…hell, we didn’t even want to breathe. We must’ve played Krypton (aka Superman) about 10 times already. I'm sure we played it so much that the fans were tired of holding their arms up. Finally, as the team broke from the sideline to head to the field, Willi@m 0wens held up a sign that said “I still believe.” The Redcoats livened up and the crowd followed suit.

What's that? It's the sound of victory.

We were here to win this game and no one in Red and Black believed differently. I saw the snap, the pump fake, and then the throw. I never saw the catch. All I saw was a wave, literally a wave, just like at a baseball or football game, of UGA fans standing up and cheering one after another. The news was trickling down the stadium and at the end of the day there was a referee in the corner with both arms up. That was the day I saw Michael Johnson crushed at the bottom of a Dawg pile and lifted up in Bulldog lore.

What "heart" looks like.

What "heart" sounds like.

I could never forget how Glory sounded right after the call. I just sat and listened. There was no way I could play. Instruments were dropped and accidentally stomped to pieces while Redcoats hugged each other and screamed in victory. It was the most excited at any given point in time in life that I have ever been.

We held on for the win and lived that evening like we had won something bigger than the Superbowl. It was a day for our players and fans to never forget. It was the day the second coming of UGA went from being a rumor to being the truth.

That one game and one play has literally inspired me to write half the emotional pieces I write about UGA and athletics in general. In fact, that game coupled with the sheer class of D.J. Shockley, was the reason I wrote this, which I still consider one of my best posts to date.

It was a coming of age for a team that was headed in a new direction. It was a real-life flashback for folks that have loved UGA since the early 80's. It was a Lewis Grizzard piece that was unfortunately never published. It was perfect in every sense of the word.

And that it is why it is my favorite away game (and quite possibly my favorite game) of all time. May its reign at the top be long, but eventually dropped to second place by our upcoming National Title victory.

Until next time kids.

Be safe.

As we get closer to kickoff for what I believe will be the "momentum" season for an eventual National Championship, I thought I'd list my Top 5 Away Games of my time at UGA. This will be followed by an eventual Top 5 Home Games segment as well.

So, let's get to it:

5. Tennessee 2003 – The blowout the Neyland never saw coming. This game was heavily hyped as UGA was chasing the SEC championship from a few steps behind as they had lost to LSU earlier in the year. UT was also a major player in the SEC East with having Jabari Davis in the backfield behind that massive OL. It also didn’t hurt to have Casey Clausen in his senior year. Not saying that Casey was a factor or anything, but a senior QB is a senior QB…even if he can’t be UGA…ever. I was really nervous about this one just because we had beaten UT for 3 years straight at this point and the fans were out for blood. It was also a night game, which gave 100,000 people a means to get drunk and rowdy before kickoff. I remember walking into the stadium and thinking “this could be really bad or really really good.” I knew we had a shot when UGA got off to an early lead and the offense was clicking. The “Money Shot Memory" of this one was right before the half when Clausen and Jabari had an error in communication on a handoff right inside the 5 yard line. The Dawgs scramble for the ball, Sean Jones ends up picking it up, and then takes it at least 95 yards for the score. From then on, UT had no motivation and it showed and the Dawgs ended up winning 41 -- 14.

"I think I just threw up a little." Image from The Anti-Orange Page.

4. Outback Bowl 2000 – Can you say “hungover and getting whipped?” This game started out as a drubbing as the Boilermakers, led by Drew Brees, were taking Quincy Carter and Co. to the cleaners. Things looked lost until Donnan started unleashing the Tunnel Screen and the points started rolling in. It's also worth nothing about half the Redcoat Band was so hungover that we couldn't play...I mean come on. It was the MILLENIUM. The "Money Shot Memory" comes after Hap Hines sealed the victory with an OT field goal and the Redcoats, for the first time ever, played Glory with the Angel Tag. ESPN caught all the audio, which was then transferred to an MP3 that I still have today. Aside from being one of the greatest comebacks in Bulldog history, the Glory Angel Tag tradition was born. What started out as a “miracle win only” situation for playing it became an “every win situation” after the Athletic Association loved it so much. Now, every time UGA seals a victory, the Dawg fans are treated to a special version of Glory. If you ever get the chance, go and thank The Song Writer, since the credit can only go to him.

The original recording of "Glory Angel Tag." The only thing every Redcoat played that day.

3. Tennessee 2001Mark Schlaubach called this the greatest game he’s ever seen in person. I would be hard pressed to argue with him, but obviously, I think I've only seen two better away games in person. This was Mark Richt’s first game away from Sanford Stadium and he had a couple of freshman, David Greene and Fred Gibson, leading the way offensively. This was my second time to Neyland and UT is famous for seating the opposing team’s band into the state of Tennessee, which is creative, but very cramped for those band folks. I was wedged just to the left of K@therine D0dd, and we were constantly bumping into each other and everyone around us due to the spacing issues. The game had been back and forth throughout the entire four quarters and UGA seemed to have it wrapped up until Travis Stephens took a screen pass the distance and put UGA 5’ 11” in the dirt. After the kickoff, Randy McMichael became a man among boys and owned the middle for a couple of large gains to get UGA around the 6 yard line. The “Money Shot Memory" happened with only a few seconds remaining in the game. Mark Richt made one of the greatest play calls I have ever seen (P-44-Haynes) and faked the handoff to the large and in charge Musa Smith, only to have Verron Haynes pretend to block a linebacker, run past him, turn around, and make a gorgeous catch. Larry Munson made one of the best calls (and I believe he thinks this is his best call) when he said UGA “stepped on their face with a Hobnailed boot and broke their nose." Nearly every away game after that one, I stood just to the left of K@t for good luck.

These boots are made for walkin...

2. Florida 2004 – FINALLY. Not since 1997 had we tasted victory against the Gators and it was getting very old, very quickly. I spend 5 seasons in Redcoats and had only known a handful of people that had actually experienced a victory against the Gators. Want to know what's frustrating? Going 5 years in Redcoats and wanting ONLY ONE of them to have a victory against Florida. Anyway, I digress. No one really knew who had the more emotional reason to win because Ron Zook had already been announced as leaving the Florida Program and this was Greene, Pollack, Gibson, Brown, etc’s last shot at beating Florida. None of the college football pundits knew who to pick because it was unclear as to whether or not Zook’s players (who were no big fans of his firing), would rally around their coach and win one for him, or would they just lie down on the field. We had the talent to beat them, just like nearly every year before that, but the Florida mental block seemed to be lifted and our players looked focused. The Dawgs led much of the game, but I do remember one point where we lost the lead. All I could think was “not again…please not again” but Reggie Brown and Fred Gibson stepped up their receiving efforts (and I also remember Leonard Pope having a coming out party during this game) to lead the Dawgs in the endzone enough times for victory. The "Money Shot Memory" of this one was after time had expired and the Dawgs were victorious, I finally saw a half full Gator Bowl that was Red and Black instead of Orange and Blue. It was opposite day indeed.

All the blue on the right? Not Florida fans....empty seats.

Look for Number 1 in a few days (possibly Tuesday or Wednesday).

Until next time kids.

Be safe.

So for the past few days I've had ideas for a blog bumping around in my head like my cranium was having one helluva house party....or a severe case of ADD. Either way, I've had a good idea, lost it, had another one, lost that one, and then got pissed off.

What I decided to do to rectify that is basically to blog and just blog whatever the hell comes to mind. Here it goes...

Um......
I could talk ab....nah that sucks.
And there's....shit.

Ok I got something:

A blatant picture of Ann Coulter just to piss off Doug who spent most of his 4th of July post trying to somehow get America back into the UK. I like you Doug, I really do, but sometimes you just don't make much sense. I'm trying to shock you back into reality just like psychiatrists use shock therapy. So say hello to Ann...

Image stolen from a site that hates Ann Coulter...and wants to bang her.

However, I need to give props to Doug who introduced me lately to the INCREDIBLY HOT Melissa Theuriau.

I'd be so much more informed if we had news anchors like this....

And, of course, here are a couple of more distractions just for your viewing pleasure:

"Transformers" hotness Megan Fox.

One reason Jack Bauer will kill me...Elisha Cuthbert.

Blazing hot "red head" Kate Walsh.

And finally...

Site girl of the century, Keira Knightley

Well, guess who hasn't been laid in a while?

Anyway, moving on to sports, there's been a lot of hooplah lately over at the Georgia Sports Blog about Mark Richt and Company recruiting out of state kids and ignoring in state talent...well, that's not what PWD said, but some guy that commented on the post. I had plenty to say about it over at the site, and I'm kind of spent on it, but I just want to make it perfectly clear that Mark Richt and Co. are completely dedicated to winning a national championship. Hell, if he finds the kid that can help us in Alaska, I say go get his ass. Stop bitching about it and let the kids play.

The King has ranked our toughest games on the 2007 schedule. I'm pretty much in line with what he's thrown down, but I have a few differences that I will explain at a later date. It's a good read though, so go check it out.

And finally, please everyone let the Munson thing go. Yeah, it sucks about as much as it can, but the man just can't do it. He's doing the best he can with what he's got and I hope every Georgia fan buys a headset to listen to him in the stadium this year. I also hope they give him the proper send off he deserves. He is the best...period.

Until next time kids.

Be safe.

P.S. -- Go see Transformers right now. It's worth it. Trust me.

“‘Wreck-less’ Abandon – Wreck Rambles to Wreck Yard”

Somewhere in GA – The “Rambling Wreck From Georgia Tech” may be a helluva engineer, but “driving” is not exactly his strong suit. On the way to an appearance, the Wreck actually became “wrecked” and joined the distinguished club of “things whose names are also verbs.” The only other member of this club until recently was talented vocal artist “Sting.”

Thankfully, no one was hurt. Above all, that is most important. However, now that we all agree everyone’s ok; Georgia fans have taken off the gloves and the demoralizing has begun.

The story goes that as the main vehicle was driving down the interstate, the gentleman driving saw a female on the side of the road with a broken down car. He turned his head (not out of chivalry…out of disparity) and thusly pulled the trailer to the side along with him. Things slowly went out of control and the pictures below tell the rest of the story…

The next picture is not related to this story in anyway, but is just funny in general:

Moving on...

Apparently there is no fund for repairs, and since the Wreck wasn’t being operated at the time, there was no insurance to cover it. Donations are being taken through Paypal, which proves that “Engineer” is not a synonym for “Mechanic.” Sources have confirmed that, much like any time Tech steps on the field with UGA, the Ramblin’ Wreck is a total loss.

When asked about the lack of funds for repairs on the symbol of the university, Athletic Director Dan Radakovich was quoted as saying “We minimized our profits last year with ticket packages that included shirts, concessions, seats, someone to clap for you when you didn’t feel like it, a Reggie Ball report card, and a pinch of Calvin Johnson’s finest ‘stash.’ There just wasn’t much leftover from that. We have to get people in this stadium on Thursday nights and it’s just not the easiest thing to do.”

Phone calls to Chan Gailey were not immediately returned. The press was told he was “hot on the recruiting trail snatching up as many 2-stars as he can.”

Well we made it slightly over a year before we heard about any type of QB controversy at UGA. It seems we have one now since Matt Stafford was caught on camera holding a keg, hugging a girl, and snuggling with Joe Cox this past weekend at Talladega.

No, I'm not kidding.

Thankfully, this is not China, where events like this are punishable by death. Instead, we're in the good ole U.S. of A. where shit like this can happen and we laugh it off because it's NO BIG FUCKING DEAL.

I'm on the same page with PWD when I say that this is what college is supposed to be about. When America found out Tim Tebow was hanging out with his own personal buoy, no one did anything but say "that lucky little shit" or "I hate you, but high five good sir." It's just life and especially college life at that. Let the kids have some fun. Hell, if Stafford blows out his knee tomorrow (God forbid) and never plays another snap of football for the rest of his life, shouldn't he have a little time to unwind and do the same stupid shit we did? It's only fair.

I'll even offer up my own photo evidence of me being an idiot. Not like you haven't seen any of this before, but I don't want Stafford to suffer through this by himself.

There are more, but you're probably getting bored by now.

Anyway, Matt Stafford and Joe Cox, please take note that we in the Bulldog Nation love to get fucked up. A lot. We do it and then we do stupid shit too. You're not alone.

But I ain't spooning with another man. Sorry, you're on your own there.

Until next time kids.

Be safe.

Well, it's no secret that I've had a little bit of bad luck with the Scion tC (aka "The Batmobile"). I loved the car, it treated me really well, never broke down on me, and was great on gas.

As many of you have probably already noticed, I used past tense speech in the last paragraph.

Well, that's because it's time to introduce you to "The Deuce."

I went home to Perry this past weekend and while I was there, I found it necessary to get The Batmobile serviced. While I was there, I spoke to a gentleman named Mike Bsh0p, who was kind enough to show me the 2007 model tC. Now, I know what you're already thinking, and the answer is "no, I didn't do something stupid."

But yes, I did buy a new car.

You see, I did a little research on the current value of my vehicle and compared it to the price of a new car. Even after the deer incident, The Batmobile held a pretty good trade-in value and I figured with 77,600 miles (f*ck you Cle@r Channel), if I could get into a little bit better of a car for a little bit more money, I'd do it.

So, with that, I present to you Scion tC Version 2.0 aka "The Deuce":

Now, if you're thinking "It looks just like your last car," then you'd be exactly right. The only true differences between this car and the last is that it is in new condition, and it's blue. In these pictures it looks a little purple, but trust me, it's blue...bright blue when the light hits it just right.
So, there you have it. Let's all join together in welcoming "The Deuce" to the family.

Until next time kids.

Be safe.

P.S. -- Since I haven't done it in a few days, I present to you a completely irrelevant photo of Keira Knightley.
